After a crazy week last week, we are taking it easy for the next couple of days. It seems to have caught up with us all because Levi has caught a bug and I have been feeling poorly, too! So, I thought I would do a giveaway and just take a break from blogging this week! :)
When Levi was a baby, my Mom started a fantastic book collection for him. I wanted to give away one of my favorites this week! (A new one, of course. I'm not giving you his! Haha!)
This book, Manners Can Be Fun is absolutely fantastic! It was first published in 1936 and recently came back to print. It teaches simple etiquette for children and it's simply adorable!

There are a series of the books and we have almost all of them -
How to Speak Politely and Why
How to Behave and Why
Manners Can Be Fun
Brushing Your Teeth Can Be Fun (we don't have this one.)
Something that I have found is that every age loves this book - from young children to adults! It's just a classic and a must for every child's library.
In a world where manners are almost completely lost (especially in children), this book is fantastically refreshing! I think you'll love it. Because there's nothing cuter than a child using proper manners. :)
So!
1. Leave a comment and you will be put into the drawing for the book!
2. Blog, Tweet, or Facebook about the giveaway and enter yourself that many more times!
Good Luck!

ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway!! My girls love books and this would be a great addition to our collection.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the manners police with my 2 year old lately - I'm sure he'd love to hear about please/thank you/etc in a way other than me constantly reminding him :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Is it sad that my kids are older and they would still love this?? I must say that since moving down South last year I'm loving the manners aspect of things--we've always enforced it but it's much common here which makes it easier to enforce in daily life. We went back to my in-laws in PA this summer and after just a year I was horrified at how my nieces and nephew sounded when talking to adults!
ReplyDeleteI could really use a book like that for my boys!

ReplyDeleteEven though I don't have any of my own children, I have 98 of them I teach every day! My team and I are always trying to remind them of using manners but 10 year-old kids still just don't get it sometimes. This would be a great book to read to them and then have them write about it!
ReplyDeleteThese books look great, and I love Munro Leaf. His book Ferdinand is a favorite of ours!
ReplyDeleteI am not a mother, but I am a high school English teacher who is often called "Coach Manners Patrol." I am abhorred by the lack of general manners and consideration my high schoolers show... They love when I read children's books to them- this would be a double-win! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea, such a simple concept...Manners. It's nevery too early to teach little ones about them. Very neat books.
