I Vlogged! The Accent Vlog.

**Winner for the Chanel face wash announced tomorrow!**

Okay, so I felt totally STUPID doing this, but after some requests from y'all, I thought it would be a lot of fun. It's flying around on the web out there, so I am going to post the rules and then I hope you all play!! If you do, be sure to come back and share the link of yours with me so I can watch. :)

Please ignore my WILD hair. And my DIRTY kitchen. But play close attention to my ADORABLE child. Tee Hee Hee.

The instructions are to say these words:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

And answer these questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you use to change the TV channel?

  2. As someone who just moved to Kentucky from Oregon, I don't think I will ever get used to hearing people refer to a shopping cart as a buggy. So bizarre to me. :)

  3. I love your voice!!! For some reason I imagined it being high and squeaky but it wasn't...hahaha it was cute and I liked your slight twang! BTW your hair looks great.

  6. I loved it! I had to laugh when you called the grocery thingy a buggy. I call it a cart. Other than that, I think I was the same as you. Weebie was adorable! And girl, your hair was lovely! I would LOVE if my hair looked like that. I always have mine pulled back as I can't stand my hair in my face. But it's not very cute. Oh well. Yours was super cute!

  7. Oh yeah, one other thing, when it's raining but the sun is still shining I call it a "sun shower". I live in Florida though.

  8. HA HA HA..."What is my hair doing?"
    Too cute!!!

  12. Oh my WORD, I just loved this :) You're still just *cute* as a button ( I remember thinking that first thing when I met you at BlogHer last year, when I was with Erin), I just loved this and loved seeing Weebie. Thank you for going outside of your comfort zone and actually doing it, so fun to watch! Hope you're feeling well! xoxo

  13. Okay so can I just say... for the past two years I have been saying your son's name wrong in my head! haha. I've never seen that name before and I always pronounced it (in my head) as lev-ee. Like a levy. Not Lee-vI. Too funny... it'll be hard to switch now!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love your voice. I'm from the UK so love american accents. Love how you say pecan and I thought the raining while it's sunny was rainbow?! But I think I'm prob wrong. Sun shower sounds the next best thing for me :-)

    ReplyDelete
  15. HA!! I LOVED this! I cannot wait to do it when I get home! I was dying when you said sure, pecan, crayon and lawyer! It's so funny how different we all sound!

And I have NEVER heard a shopping cart refered to as a buggy! How fun!

  16. I loved this! And am obviously going to do it. And...your hair looks GREAT for all you said it didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh Levi is the cutest! Great distraction method; I should have employed it since I look like death in my accent vlog. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Weebie is soooo adorable!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. You have a lovely voice! And oh my is little Levi adorable...he will make a wonderful big brother! I live in the deep south (North Georgia), so your accent sounded perfectly normal to me...actually, you have much "less" of an accent than most people here (I grew up in Florida so don't really have a southern accent). But everyone in my family says buggy and flipper too, since my mom was born in South Carolina. Thanks for sharing this - and you look great!! :)

  20. Haha! I live in the Southeast, and I have heard people say that when it's raining while the sun is shining. "the devil is beating his wife". I think it's crazy but that's what I've heard!!
    Fun Vlog!

  21. Devil is beating his wife. That's what it's called when it rains while the sun is shining. We talk a lot alike except for three things 1. I say soda/coke 2. I say grocery cart 3. I say y'all all the time. BTW I'm from Texas. And Levi is so so cute.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I loved watching this! Levi is too cute. I want to drive over and give him a big hug!

    ReplyDelete
  23. You are so stinkin' cute! I loved hearing your voice, I know that's weird, but I totally thought that you would talk different!

    ReplyDelete
  24. You are adorable!!! I am a complete dork in mine.. I am new follower and I love your blog and your little one reminds me a lot of my little one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh my gosh! Levi is just a doll!! Love your accent vlog! My video is so dark, I love how bright the color turned out on yours!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I honestly expected your accent to be WAY thicker! It's actually very slight to me. I loved the random "what's my hair doing???" tossed in there 2/3 of the way through too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. You AND Levi are cute as buttons! You aren't as southern sounding as I thought... but "buggy" did bring it out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. You are too cute! I did one a few months back...a vlog...for the accent. I need to do another one to address how to pronounce my name :>)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh my goodness Levi is the cutest thing ever! And I'm SO happy you used to call it a flipper. You're the only one I've ever heard call it that besides my family. My hubby made so much fun of me that I've switched over to calling it a remote.

    ReplyDelete
  30. OMG!! I want to adopt Weebie!
    he's adorable!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. oh, you are so cute. i love how you talked to little levi. he is so adorable.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You are adorable. I think I need to move to OK to be your best friend. Weird? Whatever. And Weebie is precious! So cute!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I always heard that when it was raining outside when the sun was shining that "the devil was beating his wife". Terrible, I know. But that's what I great up with. ha. I'm with you on pop, too. (-:

    ~K

You guys are both adorable, as always. (-:

  38. love it! You sound just like I thought you would!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ahhh you are adorable! We say everything the same except the "buggy". Over here (NC) its a cart. I can barely hear your accent! But I bet it might be more pronounced to someone who lives up north.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Your vlog was funny and I thought you said everything quite normal except for the buggy that I call a shopping cart. And your hair looks great by the way!

    ReplyDelete
  41. You actually sounded like I thought you would! I loved this! I definitely think you have an accent but its not super strong. Very cute!

    I did this too, www.justabitofmegs.blogspot.com

  45. Whitney, I totally did this today! It's a little traumatic! Haha...Loved yours though and your hair is GORGEOUS...I don't know what you're talkin bout!

    ReplyDelete
  46. YOU ARE SO FUNNY! AND SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! I absolutely loved watching your vlog. It makes me feel like I'm sitting in your (okay it is a bit dirty) kitchen with you.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't know why I expected you to have a deeper accent than you do? Yours actually sounds very slight compared to mine, but I am from the deep south (lower Alabama).

Anyhow, I think you should do more vlogs! :)
